What the vendor pages change about tool shopping

OpenAI, checked 2026-09-23: search visibility and training are separate robots.txt tokens. A tool that reports only GPTBot has not checked the ChatGPT search control.
Perplexity: PerplexityBot is the search crawler and is not a foundation-model training crawl. Perplexity-User generally ignores robots.txt, so a robots.txt allow does not govern those user-triggered fetches. The help article modified 2026-09-14 says a Disallow stops full-text indexing by PerplexityBot.
Google AI features, updated 2025-12-10: no extra technical requirements beyond being indexed and eligible for a snippet. The 2026-07-10 optimization guide says to ignore special AI markup, including llms.txt, for Google Search, and to be wary of tools that promise rank or claim internal Google metrics.

Paid prompt trackers can still be useful after the public controls are fixed, because a monitor cannot show you in ChatGPT search answers if OAI-SearchBot is disallowed. This page does not recommend a brand and does not repeat unpublished prices.
